Reportedly, the enemies who attack Romani Ranch in the Nintendo 64 title The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (2000) are based off of the Flatwoods Monster (DidYouKnowGaming?, Garcia). The enemies are variously referred to as "aliens" or "ghosts" in-game (Grezzo; Leung et al. 114; Nintendo EAD). However, the character Romani refers to the creatures as "they" or "them" (Grezzo; Nintendo EAD).
